Cignpost was born out of the need for an alternative route to accessing healthcare. Having won a number of corporate clients, we prepared to launch our proposition of an insurance policy that reduced the wait time to access specialists focusing on cardiovascular disease risk assessments and cancer screening.However, the COVID-19 pandemic meant a change of course. By welcoming one of the world’s foremost immunologists to the team, Cignpost created a business with unparalleled scientific expertise and business acumen.Our focus switched to understanding how our diagnostics capabilities could be used to create COVID-19 safe environments.
During the pandemic and into the endemic, Cignpost Diagnostics and ExpressTest by Cignpost helped whole industries restart and individuals separated by COVID-19 to reunite with their loved ones. Both of these operations continue to play a significant part in Cignpost’s future strategy.As we moved out of the endemic, we are pleased to announce that our lab testing has now moved into the capable hands of Professor Denis Kinane and his team. Meet our established management team
Louis Jordan
Louis Jordan is Chair of the Cignpost advisory board. His role includes, managing the board, advising the Cignpost leadership team on strategy, effective stakeholder management and developing the performance of all aspects of the business.
In addition to a number of non executive Chair roles, Louis was previously Vice Chairman and Partner of Deloitte and also a Partner with KPMG.
Steve Whatley
Steve is the CEO of Cignpost, with responsibility for directing and implementing our strategic growth plan and driving financial performance. In addition to founding and developing a number of successful healthcare businesses, Steve has over 15 years of leadership experience in the insurance industry and is the founder of the Cignpost brand.
David Jennings
David is the Chief Operating Officer of Cignpost. He has overall responsibility for the delivery of excellent customer outcomes through process and technology, building enterprise resilience and driving the day to day implementation of our strategy.
Before joining Cignpost, David worked for over 30 years in the financial services sector, specifically in the insurance and intermediary markets, including Aviva, Jelf, Sesame Bankhall Group and Health Hero.
Amy-Beth Stevens
Amy-Beth is the Chief of Staff of Cignpost. She oversees organisation design, culture and engagement, key talent development priorities and supporting our growth strategy by putting colleagues at the centre of all we do.
She is also responsible for embedding and maintaining our risk management strategy and ensuring compliance with regulation requirements.
Amy-Beth has oversight of B2B sales strategy and implementation, driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships, optimised sales processes, and data-informed decision-making.
Amy Beth previously held HR leadership positions in the healthcare sector.
Max Bascombe
Max is the Chief Financial Officer of Cignpost, responsible for financial strategy and management, including, planning and reporting, tax, treasury, risk and legal and investor relations. Before joining Cignpost, he enjoyed an extensive career in investment banking with Citicorp, Nomura, Societe Generale and Sanlam. Max spent the early part of his career as a chartered accountant with Deloitte.
Stephanie Connell
Stephanie is the Chief Customer Experience Officer for Cignpost. She is responsible for ensuring that our customer centric strategy and our health and wellness mission remain central to our growth plans. This includes developing and driving exceptional customer experience across all touchpoints, relentlessly promoting a culture that prioritises customer needs and builds brand loyalty through the delivery of value.
Stephanie previously held customer service leadership roles in the health and wellness sector. She holds a Masters in Sports Psychology, was formerly an international athlete and now coach on the international circuit.
